Today, that revolution is Artificial Intelligence.

The excitement is understandable.
AI is undoubtedly one of the most transformative technologies of our time.
But history encourages us to ask a different question.
What comes next?
Not because AI is nearing its end, but because every major technological breakthrough has eventually become the foundation for another.
In the recent past, we have witnessed multiple waves of transformation.
Mainframes gave way to distributed computing.
Client-server architectures evolved into cloud platforms.
Virtualization redefined infrastructure.
Mobile computing transformed how we interacted with technology.
The Internet connected the world.
Cloud computing changed how businesses consumed technology.
Automation accelerated operations.
Now AI is reshaping the way we work, learn, and make decisions.
Each innovation was revolutionary.
None was the final chapter.
Every one of them opened the door to the next.
That realization offers an important lesson.
Technology does not evolve in isolated steps. It evolves continuously, building upon previous innovations while creating entirely new possibilities. Perhaps the next revolution won't be a single technology at all. It may emerge from the convergence of several disciplines.
Artificial Intelligence working alongside quantum computing.
Robotics collaborating seamlessly with humans.
Edge intelligence enabling real-time autonomous systems.
Biotechnology integrating with advanced computing.
Sustainable computing becoming a strategic business imperative rather than an environmental aspiration.
Or perhaps the next breakthrough will come from an idea we have not yet imagined.
History has taught us that tomorrow's innovations often surprise us.
For technology leaders, this presents an important challenge.
Our responsibility is not simply to adopt the latest technology.
It is to build organizations that are capable of adapting continuously.
Technology skills will evolve.

Tools will become obsolete.
What must remain constant is our ability to learn, question assumptions, and prepare our organizations for change.
In many discussions today, we ask whether AI will replace jobs.
Perhaps that is the wrong question.

That is why I believe the future is not about AI replacing people.
It is about people learning to work alongside increasingly intelligent technologies.
So, what comes next?
No one truly knows.
And perhaps that uncertainty is exactly what makes technology so fascinating.
Every generation inherits remarkable innovations.
Every generation believes it has reached the pinnacle.
Every generation eventually discovers that it was only standing at the beginning of the next chapter.
As technology leaders, our greatest strength may not lie in predicting the future.
It lies in preparing people, organizations, and ourselves to embrace it with curiosity, adaptability, and purpose.
Because the future has never belonged to those who simply adopted the latest technology.
It has always belonged to those who remained ready for what came next.
